Handwoven organic cotton from the Kutch in far western Gujarat. The original purpose is a dupata or large shawl- but draped over an expansion rod, they add instant and effortless charm as a curtain panel right down to the hand wrapped tasseled fringe.

Colors: Primary colors are natural white and dark charcoal with accents in brick red, golden yellow, bright pink, blue and black.

We connected with this wonderful group of organic cotton weavers while traveling in Gujarat, India. Organic cotton is very beneficial for the environment as there are no chemicals or pesticides used to grow it and it takes less water than commercial cotton growing. 

Please allow for variances, this is a hand woven item. Two makes a perfect pair of curtains.

Kutch Jii Chhap Organic Cotton Weavers

Kutch Jii Chhap was started by four dedicated colleagues who worked for a large NGO, growing organic cotton, but felt the NGO was stagnant, not interested in innovating. With an eye on innovation and wanting to make a positive impact, they decided to form their own company - representing organic cotton farmers and weavers.
