Hand Embroidered Silk Pillow Green Uzbekistan (19x20)

Embroidered pillow from a UNESCO Award of Excellence studio in Uzbekistan, a country at the heart of the fabled silk road, an ancient trade route linking the far east, Europe and north Africa. Hand embroidered silk on a satin-finish chalky forest green colored ground cloth. Embroidery colors:olive , forest green, golden wheat, red, mauve, chalky indigo, chalky pale wine and more. The back is handwoven ikat dyed cotton in off-white, charcoal and deep sage green with a zipper.
