
Corazón Milagrito Workshop
Join us in community for a lively night of Cartoneria Mexicana (Mexican paper-maché), technique in preparation for Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead). Make your very own Corazón Milagrito (Miracle Heart) with the unique technique. Take a deep dive into Mexico's unique paper maché history, culture, and the traditions surrounding this beautiful work.
This in-person workshop is hosted by Cultural Cloth and led by artist Ceci Tejeda from ceci-amatl.
Bring a friend, and let’s make something beautiful and meaningful together. All the materials and tools you will need for this project will be provided. Only 10 spots available.

More About Ceci:
Ceci Tejeda was born and raised in Mexico City. Her parents are from Michoacán, Mexico, which is why she has Purepecha blood in her veins. Ever since she was a young girl, she has admired her culture. She creates Alebrijes made of “cartoneria,” a unique and traditional papier-mâché technique from Mexico City.
