Handwoven and Natural Dyed Cotton Scarf/Shawl D India

Beautiful handwoven batik shawl. We bought this from Shakil Khatri, a 10th generation of batik block printers in Mundra, Gujarat. We were fortunate to be able to watch this complex batik process while visiting his studio. This is a medium weight handwoven cotton with a 10" subtle woven pattern at each end. Colors: chalky violet and creamy white. The woven pattern color is a pale violet color. The batik process gives a crackle pattern in parts and the block printed designs have soft edges. Natural indigo dyed. This can be worn as a large scarf and would also make a beautiful curtain.
