Handmade gifts and bedding in maiden rock

artisan made home goods from around the globe

This year marks our 15th Year Anniversary!

It fills our hearts to think back on so many great memories we've had at the store, the places we have visited around the world, the talented artisans we have had the honor to meet along the way, and getting to know you. What began as an idea, has bloomed into quite the adventure and we could not be more excited to celebrate with you!

As we get closer to the end of year, we wanted to take one more opportunity to say THANK YOU for your support throughout the past 15 years with another opportunity to shop our collection. This Saturday, November 15th, we will be doing a one-day only 15% off on all in-store purchases at both of our locations.

Join us for our very first workshop at our Whitefish Bay store in Milwaukee, led by Ammu from House of Amu. Learn how to hand block print using hand-carved wooden blocks while creating your very own table runner for your next gathering. Dive into the vibrant world of hand block printing using hand-carved wooden blocks crafted by artisans in India.

You'll explore how to gather inspiration, create designs, and experiment with patterns to print your own unique table runner—no templates, just your imagination. Whether you're a total newbie or an art enthusiast, this laid-back afternoon promises laughter, creativity, and a chance to play with paint. Bring a friend, and let’s make something beautiful together. All materials and tools are provided. Only 10 spots available!

Global Artisans

We represent the work of artisans, mostly women, from 40+ countries around the world who weave, quilt, embroider, stitch, knot, hook, bead, print and dye handmade home goods and accessories.

Traditional

We are passionate about off-the-beaten path places where people often still live quite traditionally.  On these trips we meet women who make amazing traditional handwork that has always been passed down from mother to daughter.

Mission

With a focus on gender equity and environmental justice, our mission is to empower women artisans from around the globe by creating a stable and critically needed income stream, allowing our store to share beautiful and high quality items with our customers that have a unique story.
